Beautification and Street Maintenance

Lark Street is a well traveled pedestrian and automotive corridor. In addition to hosting Neighborhood Clean-Up days in partnership with elected officials throughout the year, the BID employs a clean-team which provides daily cleanings for Lark Street Corridor. The Lark Street BID maintenance staff to help control the sidewalk litter, autumn leaves and to salt walkways in the winter.

Lark Street is the neighborhood home of Tulip Festival. In the spring, 22 large planters decorate the corridor corners, in addition to dozens of hanging flower baskets. During the holidays, the BID provides garlands, string lights and wreaths for our lampposts and fencing. We also work with the City of Albany’s DGS to provide regular maintenance and upkeep for our street’s trees.
