Rain features a menu that ranges from traditional dishes, old favorites, and eclectic new creations: from crispy roast duck, a zesty General Tso’s, and shrimp-stuffed chicken lollipops.

The newest addition to the Lark Street scene offers a modern design aesthetic and seats 118, including a full bar and parking in the back. Rain is brought to Lark by Frank Lee, owner of both Shoguns, in Delmar and Albany. Rain Modern Chinese represents a return to his Cantonese roots, updated with contemporary concepts and influences.

Cantonese cuisine utilizes mellow sauces, made from natural broths and juices, aiming to preserve the flavor from fresh ingredients, and not mask their original taste.

Rain serves dim sum on weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. which is a brunch of various small plates for customers to select, from fresh pork dumplings, steamed spare ribs, and even traditional chicken feet.
